RANA CREEK PRESERVE DOCENT PROGRAM
Docents at The Wildlands Conservancy’s Rana Creek Preserve are long-term volunteers who work independently and alongside staff to help us achieve our goals of public outreach, engagement, and land stewardship. They are Wildlands ambassadors, with a key role in sharing our organization’s mission with others.
COMMITMENT
Commit to at least 6 months of service
Volunteer a minimum of 20 hours annually

SKILLS AND BENEFITS
Get involved in your community
Develop skills such as public speaking, interpretation, and land stewardship.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at our restoration work, education programs and exposure to the Preserve before it is fully opened to the public.
Meet new people passionate about the outdoors.
ELIGIBILITY
Adults 18 and older
Interests in environmental stewardship and education
Previous experience is desired but not required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) docents are highly desired
Reliable transportation to the preserve is required

HOW TO APPLY
Submit the interest form, so we can notify you of upcoming orientation dates. Contact our Preserve Manager at kat.h@wildlandsconservancy.org with questions.
DOCENT ORIENTATION
Interested individuals must attend an orientation meeting to be eligible for the docent program. Orientations will take place on an as-needed basis, at the Granary building on Rana Creek Preserve (35351 East Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley, CA 93924). Advanced registration is required. Submit the interest form as your first step.
